I’ve given up.\u00c2\u00a0 I realized that I had been holding onto some secret hope that my child would actually be born on his Due Date…since that clearly hasn’t happened, I find that I am just exhausted.\u00c2\u00a0 I have no energy left for anything.\u00c2\u00a0 All I want to do is just lay around and wait for this thing to happen (which, unfortunately, is one of the worst ways to ensure that it will happen).<\/p>\n
I had a wonderful DD celebration yesterday.\u00c2\u00a0 Spent a fun day with mom.\u00c2\u00a0 She helped clean the house (yea) while I made beaded hair pins.\u00c2\u00a0 I met Adam at The Triple Door for happy hour and drank non-alcoholic cocktails, toasting this long awaited day.\u00c2\u00a0 Then we got a big bowl of squash and sweet potato stew because it was rumored to induce labor (like that fancy salad in California) – it didn’t work, but my uterus was tight all night.\u00c2\u00a0 After a few hours of Mario Cart on the Wii, Adam and I took a brisk 2 mile walk to QFC.\u00c2\u00a0 I had a few contractions but nothing regular.\u00c2\u00a0 I was so sure that I would wake up to regular contractions last night, but morning came and the only change is that my knees are little more sore and I feel a little\u00c2\u00a0 bit\u00c2\u00a0 bigger (if that is possible).<\/p>\n
Adam is sweet.\u00c2\u00a0 He is trying to keep me distracted today. We’re going to go see a movie and go for another walk (yea walking….)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
