I apologize, faithful readers, for my delayed post.\u00c2\u00a0 I have a beautiful baby!\u00c2\u00a0 10 pounds!!!\u00c2\u00a0 The only problem is, he\/she is still inside my belly.\u00c2\u00a0 We had out non-stress test on Thursday and it was easy.\u00c2\u00a0 I just laid there while these monitors hooked up to my belly measured the baby’s heart rate.\u00c2\u00a0 He passed with flying colors.\u00c2\u00a0 Everything looked great.\u00c2\u00a0 Because I still didn’t have my baby by this morning, Adam and I went into the hospital to get a bio-rhythmic exam.\u00c2\u00a0 The only appointment they had available was at 7:15 in the morning!\u00c2\u00a0 I haven’t gotten up that early in weeks.\u00c2\u00a0 The bio-rhythmic exam was just like an ultrasound except that my baby was being graded.\u00c2\u00a0 There were 8 points possible and, I am proud to say, my little one got an 8 out of 8!\u00c2\u00a0 The only shocker was when the doctor told me that he weighed around 10 lbs 2 oz (the baby not the doctor)!!!! Give or take a pound!!!!\u00c2\u00a0 I almost cried until Adam pointed out that it was all in his belly.\u00c2\u00a0 His head is actually smaller than a full term child.\u00c2\u00a0 My midwife thinks they might be wrong – we’ll know soon enough.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m just worried that I’ll have to go to the hospital and they will see that I have a 10 pound baby and automatically do a C-section.<\/p>\n
I met with my midwife after the bio-rhythmic profile (and a 2 hour nap) and she stripped my membrane again.\u00c2\u00a0 It didn’t dilate any more, but it did give me contractions for about an hour.\u00c2\u00a0 She also gave me some homeopathic herbs to take to help induce labor.\u00c2\u00a0 If this doesn’t work, I do another non-stress test on Sunday and get Castor Oil.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m really hoping these herbs work.<\/p>\n
I also found out that all the Braxtin Hicks contractions that I thought I’d been having were really real contractions that just didn’t hurt!\u00c2\u00a0 Yea for an easy labor so far \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
I’m going to have a baby tonight – everyone needs to think these positive thoughts.\u00c2\u00a0 I really don’t want to go to the hospital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
