DD + 4

Dear little one,

I’m so excited to meet you.  I know you are loving being inside the womb, but if you should decide to come out, I promise that you will love it out here as well.  There are so many people excited to meet you and love you.  I was feeling anxious about how much labor was going to hurt and I was worried that you hadn’t arrived yet, but after talking to our midwife yesterday I feel much better.  You take as long as you need because whenever you want to come out will be the perfect time.  If you choose to take too long, though, they are going to pump mommy full of nasty drugs to try to get you out, so if you could come sometime in the next week, I think you would be more happy.

Our midwife thinks you are doing just great.  She says that you are not too big and that you are in the perfect position for birth.  You are so smart.  She also thinks that that you have an excellent heartbeat, so keep that up as well.  I can’t wait to hold you.
