Baby is due TOMORROW!!!!  Statistically, 5% of babies are actually born on their due dates, so this means that I have a 1 in 20 shot of giving birth tomorrow!  I honestly don’t think that baby is coming out – tomorrow or ever.  I haven’t had any contractions and baby seams perfectly content to hang out where he is.  On the downside, my list of aliments is growing.  My knees have recently discovered that they are carrying around an extra 40 pounds (Isn’t that insane) and have started a protest.  At first it was just popping sounds, but this morning they stepped it up and brought on the pain.  Oh well, its a good excuse to sit with my feet up and blog.

The issue of names is becoming increasingly urgent.  We’ve had a girls name picked out for ages (since the second week we found out we were pregnant).  The boy’s name, on the other hand, has been a bit more…challenging.  We’ve changed our mind more times than I can count, and at this moment in time – ONE DAY before my due date – we still don’t have a middle name we like.  I would love some help, but as we’ve vowed not to share names before the little tyke is born, I think it will be tough for you to pitch in.  I will say this.  The first name that we like is 2 syllables and our last name, Eivy, is also 2 syllables so I’m thinking that we need a middle name with lots of sylables – like Alexander.  My dear, sweet, confused husband however, is sold on the idea as Acious or Danger as a middle name.  I’m not kidding.  I’ve tried to convince him that this joke will be funny for about 10 seconds before it gets old and our poor child will be stuck with it for the rest of his life.  If you talk to my husband ever, please tell him that he is wrong!!!

In other news, I woke up this morning inspired to plant a garden.  I made it as far as the car before I realized that gardening involves lots of bending over, which, in my current state, is probably not the best thing to be doing.  I know that I should be enjoying this time of rest, but I can’t help it.  I’ve been an over-achieving, super-producing person for the last 28 years.  I’m having a hard time “taking it easy”.

I think I’ll go for a walk.

I knew a guy in college whose name was Danger. Seriously. He was cool, though, and didn’t seem to mind.

(However, he later got married to another friend of mine, and she made him change his name.)
