my day

I woke up this morning at 5:30 and sleepily reached over to feed Ilya before either of us had a chance to fully awake only to discover that it was not her squirmy body that had awaken me…it was something far worse.  I had Ilya pressed against my side but my entire arm felt…wet.  It was far too cool to be sweat.  I silently prayed that it was just a leaky pee diaper.  Then I felt the grains.  Ilya had exploded her little disposable diaper at both ends soaking the bed in both pee and poop.  Just so you know the type of person that I have become – I threw a burp rag over that offending area, changed Ilya, washed my arm off, and went back to sleep.  Sleep is precious.  I washed the sheets when I woke up three hours later.
